One of the great joys of post-grad life is having time to read for fun. D and I are both reading some good books right now we thought we'd share with you. Right now I'm reading the Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides (thanks for the rec, Heather) and Daniel has started People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks (on my recommendation, as one of my all-time favorite books.)

We have enjoyed holing up at our favorite café (Literati Café on Wilshire) and diving into our respective books. We used to come here a lot to plan our wedding. I get a French press of their Jasmine tea, Daniel gets hot chocolate and, without fail, there is always interesting background noise, from aspiring actors studying scripts to UCLA biology students studying anatomy to 20- and 30-something job searchers studying their laptops, all mixed up with some John Coltrane and Bob Dylan.
